How to make the most of your Friday and Saturday. Khaleej Times recommends...
Dubai's got talent
Colors Ke Sartaj, a talent hunt for the blue-collar workforce in the UAE, is returning with Season 2 this summer.  Launched by IndiaCast in 2018, the show aims to reward hidden talents among the labour community in the Emirates and provide them with a platform to showcase their singing, dancing and comedy. The grand finale is taking place on Friday, July 12 from 7pm onwards at the DULSCO Village Arena, DULSCO Village, Al Quoz, Dubai, judged by Bollywood's Javed Jaffrey.
Hala is here
Don't miss the chance to enjoy a performance by young pop star Hala Al Turk tonight from 7pm onwards at Modhesh World at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The free-to-enter concert will feature the Arab vocal sensation performing her popular favourites followed by some new tracks. Fans are encouraged to arrive early!
Active kids

Tiki time
Say Aloha (really, do it! Read on to see why) as Bar 44 at the Grosvenor House has re-imagined its Living Room space this summer with a tropical Tiki pop-up! Channeling an inimitable island vibe, those who turn up in a Hawaiian shirt or say the secret code 'Aloha' upon arrival get their first drink free! How good is that? We love it.
