Spectacular line-up of live entertainment as Dubai restarts events sector

Residents will get chance to enjoy an array of shows, concerts under social distancing rules and other safety guidelines

A host of live entertainment, lifestyle events has been organised following the full reopening of Dubai's leisure sectors from September 15. All shows and leisure events have to follow strict social distancing rules and other safety guidelines due to the pandemic. Here’s a snapshot of what people can expect to enjoy in the coming months.

Packed with film screenings, visual arts installations, gaming competitions and impressive performances by the likes of Layla Kardan, Hamdan Al Abri, Lobito Brigante and many more, this is a must-see event.

What: PaRUS Music Festival 2020

When: November 3-5

Where: Jumeirah Beach Hotel

One of Dubai’s most popular music festivals, the event features artists such as Soso Pavliashvili, Grigory Leps and Leonid Agutin. The festival will make its return with new and exciting performances due from artists of various genres.

What: Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club

When: November 6

Where: Dubai Opera

Music lovers are in for a unique evening celebrating the history and music of Ronnie Scott’s as well as the jazz genre. Expect an exhilarating journey through the last century of jazz art at the event.

What: Flamenco Passion

When: November 11

Where: Dubai Opera

This is going to be an exceptional night that will excite the senses with Flamenco dance that's full of art, grace and passion performed by a troupe of professional flamenco dancers.

What: Guy Manoukian and Ara Malikian

Musician, composer and pianist Guy Manoukian is returning to Dubai Opera for the third year in a row, and this time he is joined by award-winning violinist Ara Malikian.

The Moscow City Ballet brings an iconic tale to life, set to Tchaikovsky’s original score by a live orchestra.

A multi-award winning comedian, Omid Djalili is a familiar face both on the screen and on stage for his work in films such as Mamma Mia 2, and the West End in London.

Dubai’s longest-running comedy night returns with a brand new line-up with Yorkshire funnyman Tom Wrigglesworth, Markus Birdman, one of British comedy’s most experienced performers, and the highly talented Jimmy McGhie.
