The grassroots initiative, led by Dubai Sports Council, is called ‘Shuttle Time Dubai’ and allows people of any age, ability and fitness level to play badminton as a fun and social way of being more active.

The emirate’s largest indoor summer sports venue has six full-size badminton courts open daily for a minimum of 14 hours between June 12 and August 30.

Situated in the Dubai World Trade Centre, the location also offers eight five- or seven-a-side football and rugby pitches, a volleyball court, three basketball courts, a tennis court, a cricket pitch, a skate-boarding and BMX park, a state-of-the-art gym, a 600-metre running track, a climbing wall, plus the free-to-enter Entertainment Zone with 12 table tennis tables, four pool tables and two foosball tables.

For more information, visit www.dubaisportsworld.ae or call 04 306 4000. Reservations for all sports are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
