If you want to re-live the magic of Bollywood blockbuster Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, starring iconic romantic on-screen pair Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead, all you need to do is head to a local theatre in the UAE. Starting from October 29, the Aditya Chopra directed film - which is celebrating 25 years since its release - will be screened in local cinemas.

DDLJ first released on October 20, 1995, and has gone on to become one of the most successful and loved romantic Bollywood films of all time.

Also starring Anupam Kher, Amrish Puri, Parmeet Sethi and Mandira Bedi in prominent roles, DDLJ continues to enchant new generations of audiences with its heartwarming and sweet story of a couple - Raj and Simran - who meet on a vacation in Europe and strive to win the acceptance of Simran’s family before they can formalize their union.

The film won a National Award for Best Film for providing Popular and Wholesome Entertainment and also went on to pick up a record number of Filmfare awards.

DDLJ remains the longest running film in cinemas in India - it was screened for over 20 years at Maratha Mandir cinema in Mumbai.

With lead star Shah Rukh Khan currently enjoying the Indian Premiere League action in Dubai, who knows, maybe you could be seated right next to Raj (social distanced, of course), while re-living the romance of DDLJ.
