1 Wow JBR
Paint the town red today at JBR in honour of the Chinese New Year as performers showcase the ancient Chinese art of 'Bian Lian' or face changing, and dragon characters and playful puppets engage with kids to keep them entertained for a whole weekend. Guests can also enjoy a Chinese themed walkabout that will offer glimpses of the lively Asian culture, and feature vibrant LED lion installations that add a splash of colour to the celebrations. The festivities for the weekend will start at 6pm today until 10pm and Friday and Saturday from 4-10pm.
2. It's lights, colours, action in Sharjah
Sharjah Light Festival 2019 kicked off with spectacular performances on Wednesday. The festival that celebrates science, creativity and heritage in a display of lights, hues and music at the city's landmarks will run until February 16 at 17 locations across the emirate of Sharjah.
3. Hear them dance
International hearing-impaired dance company, Deaf Men Dancing, are back in Dubai for a special one-off performance at Dubai Opera. The performers have incorporated sign-language and fused several dance styles into their choreography. Catch their unique performance at 3pm on Friday.
4. Let's get fit
The Fitness Party continues at The Pointe at Palm Jumeirah on Saturday with a host of free-to-attend sports and workout activities including CrossFit training, boxing, Kangoo Jumps, Pound, Zumba and more. Participants must bring a yoga mat, active wear and appropriate footwear to participate in all sessions.

5. Get Outdoors
City Centre Me'aisem's 'Outdoors' is back with many more exciting food trucks and stalls, live entertainment and a petting zoo every Friday, movie screening area with bean bags and cushions, casual food concepts by Kris Kros, Wheel 35, Cereal Killer Café, Dose Café and our personal favourite: The Inventing Room.
6. The Bedouin life
Brooklyn-based music duo Bedouin are returning to the desert for an electric live show at Base Dubai. Starring nomads Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malki, Bedouin is a two-piece DJ partnership that creates eccentric musical landscapes with unlikely melodies and diverse rhythms. Catch their idiosyncratic spell of melodies and rhythms today at 10pm at Dubai Design District, the hub to be seen at.

The Bollywood hit music duo Vishal-Shekhar, who are loved by fans for their energetic, foot-tapping music, promise to take fans on a romantic journey when they take to the stage tonight at the Valentine's Day special concert aptly titled Ishq Wala Love (based on the title of a song from the movie Student of the Year). Music lovers are in for a good time as the duo have promised to unleash their repertoire of romantic ballads at the gig.
