You know the drill, it's Eid Al Adha, which means it's time to get out and enjoy yourself to celebrate the festival. As always, the UAE is going all out to bring you entertainment from across the globe and closer to home in order to provide you with things to do during your time off.
From concerts including The 1975 at the Coca-Cola Arena and Nancy Ajram at Dubai World Trade Centre to free fireworks across the Emirates, to theme park offers and comedy shows, we have brought you your essential Eid guide for the break.
Imagine this
Witness Dubai's record-breaking IMAGINE show at Dubai Festival City like never before, with four specially curated shows synchronised with magical firework displays on August 11 and 12 at 8pm and 10pm. While at Dubai Festival City, be sure to look out for Sama TV broadcasting live, with exclusive competitions and prizes happening throughout the hour-long programme. 
Ice, Ice, baby
Nothing beats the summer heat than chilling with mini ice golf at Dubai Ice Rink. Make sure you visit on August 12 and 13 between 5 - 5.15pm as the attraction presents a unique showcase featuring songs from Aladdin and The Lion King. Don't fancy the golf? Just go for a normal skate.
Nancy and Seif
Brace yourselves because two of the biggest-selling artists, Nancy Ajram and Seif Nabeel, will be performing on stage at Dubai World Trade Centre on August 15. Putting on some of their top hits, the night is set to be one of the biggest events Dubai has ever seen! Tickets start from just Dhs95, with the concert taking place from 9pm until 3am.
DJ Aqeel
He's one of India's premier mixers and this Eid DJ Aqeel will be performing in Dubai for the first time in a decade. The "Don and Daddy of Remixes" will be returning to the Emirate, spinning his tracks to a packed out crowd at Dubai World Trade Centre on August 15. It is going to be a bonanza down at the venue. Enjoy!
Virtual gains
From 1pm to 10pm every weekend at the Rove Downtown, teams of two to five people can take part in the ultimate Escape Hunt adventure for Dh99. Immerse yourself in Escape Hunt's latest augmented reality game, Operation Mindfall, which will be available exclusively at the hotel for this limited period. 
Alden & Kathryn
Meet Kathyrn Bernardo and Alden Richards, stars of Hello, Love, Goodbye in person today at Oscar Cinemas, Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi from 10am to 11 am. The romantic drama, which is playing in UAE theatres currently is based on the life and travails of OFWs (Overseas Filipino Workers) and is set in Hong Kong.
Fireworks 
Enjoy delicious dishes while the whole family sings choruses of "ooh" and "ahh" as 15 waterfront restaurants at Dubai Festival City Mall overlook the spectacular fireworks lighting up the night sky on August 11 and 12. Displays will be taking place at 8pm and 10pm.
Cinema frenzy
It's a film fest and you can plan a perfect movie outing as Reel Cinemas' at The Dubai Mall will be open 24-hours on the first two days of Eid. Make the most of the long break with an entertaining picture marathon with movies such as Hello, Love, Goodbye (Tagalog), The Angry Birds 2, Bring The Soul, Kalki (Malayalam) and Nerkonda Paarvai (Tamil).
The 1975
Who's in the mood for a right royal rock show? We know we are. They're one of the UK's biggest selling bands and global superstars The 1975 will be performing their debut gig in the region at the Coca-Cola Arena Dubai on 14 August. Hear epic hits including Chocolate, The Sound and Somebody Else straight out of the award-winning group's song book. We can't wait. 
What a pearl
You know this permanent show is worth a look and you can watch it for less with rates to La Perle by Dragone at Al Habtoor City starting Dh199 for Silver, Dh249 for Gold, Dh299 for Platinum and Dh599 for VIP. See 65 world-class artists performing breath-taking feats as they dive, fly and even defy gravity on motorbikes. It never fails to impress, believe us!
Light up Legoland
Starting from today, if you visit Legoland Dubai you can end your day at the park with a Lego character dance party followed by a new brick-tacular light show. The fun takes place in the indoor and air-conditioned MiniLand, where the eight-minute-long light show will run every evening at 7.45pm until August 16 and will then run on Thursdays and Fridays thereafter.
LOL-fest
With some of the best names in stand-up on the circuit, check out this month's hilarious line-up at The Laughter Factory touring the UAE. Side-splitting gigs are taking place around a variety of locations in Dubai in particular including Arabian Ranches Golf Club, TRYP by Wyndham and Hilton Dubai Jumeriah. Tickets start at Dh160 and you are not going to want to miss the joke rate they deliver.
Adventure Eid
Bust a move with the traditional Ayyala performances and Tanoura dancers, watch a BMX bike rider perform some jaw-dropping stunts or learn ancient Arabic tales as told by the Hakawati storyteller, taking place daily from August 11 to 13 from 11am to 11pm at IMG Worlds of Adventure. At the Lost Valley, dinosaurs will be coming back from extinction and roaming around the grounds!
Discover Disney
Here's another way to see the classics. Whether taking a little one or unleashing your inner child, watch all of Disney's favourite films at special screenings between August 15 to 30 at the Disney Festival at Dubai Opera. Tickets start at Dhs40 for kids and Dhs60 for adults.
Comedy central
Be prepared to have your ribs tickled at the hilarious Dr. Mashoor Gulati's Comedy Clinic happening at Dubai World Trade Centre on August 17 at 8pm. The famous Indian comedian will have the whole room in hysterics for a night of uproarious comedy and fun for everyone.
Modhesh World
Modhesh World at Dubai World Trade Centre offers something for all to enjoy this Eid with over 100 games, rides and attractions. With so much to experience and explore at the four themed zones, The Wheels, The Arcadium, Little Adventures and Karting Zone, and Showtime Zones - it is bound to put a smile on everyone's face.
