F.A.M.E. talent
F.A.M.E. 2018 (Fashion, Art, Music & Entertainment) - a platform that offers an inclusive event for the differently abled community - will be showcasing a variety of talents from differently abled children and young adults. The event is scheduled to take place on Friday from 4pm onwards at the World Trade Centre Ballroom, Dubai. It is a community event, so there's free entry for all. Amongst the independent talents, FAME will also include unique acts from Rashid Stars Dancers, Step Up Academy and Tender Hearts. Singer/songwriter, Navin Kundra, will also be entertaining the audience.
New brunch
Turning up the heat another notch, La Carnita's Fuego Friday Brunch is kicking off tomorrow. With DJTJ on the decks playing the most lit tracks, Fridays will never be the same. Encompassing everything the taco joint stands for, the brunch offers a sharing-style Latin street food concept served to the table from 12.30pm.

Musical evening
Enjoy a beautiful evening at Old Castello Restaurant & Café - the hidden gem in Jumeirah - by bringing in the weekend with a live performance by the soulful Arabic singer Mohanad Al Ashqar. A quaint and a warm place, the Arabic musical night held every Thursday from 9pm onwards will take you on a soulful journey.
Fitness celebs
We're half way through Dubai Fitness Challenge, and so to keep the momentum going, Chris Powell and Heidi Powell - known for ABC's Extreme Weight Loss - will be coming to the UAE. On Friday they will be at JLT Fitness Village to hold a workout sesh from 6.30pm and on Sat, at Kite Beach from 3.30pm.

Pinoy buzz
The Pinoy Music Jam is taking place from 7pm today and tomorrow at the Dubai World Trade Centre Exhibition Halls 3 & 4. Ten well-known bands and music icons from the Philippines will perform over the weekend including Angeline Quinto, Kyla, IV of Spades and many more in what is shaping up to be the UAE's biggest Filipino music festival. Tickets are available online at Virgin.
Join the debate
Costa is holding the Costa Debate for 2019, supporting the Emirates Lit Fest for the sixth year running. Join in the debate by answering one of literature's most contentious questions - which is best, Fact or Fiction? Nouveau-ember
The French...they have a lot for which to be proud. For the fifth year in a row, from 7.30pm today, Wavebreaker Beach & Grill will be welcoming the New Beaujolais season with produce straight from the French province. The venue is going 'France on the beach', so enjoy a lively ambience coupled with a spread including foie gras alongside jazz brought to you by Stephane White.
Sax appeal
Dubai's Zero Gravity is turning five on Friday and celebrating with its with One Big Birthday - an all-day anniversary bash featuring performances from DJ EZ, Disciples, Lovely Laura and Ben Santiago. This not-to-be-missed celebration features headline acts from house trio, Disciples, and a DJ set from garage music legend DJ EZ to get the crowd going late into the night. Sunset poolside performances from Ibiza favourites, Lovely Laura and Ben Santiago, mixed with poolside floorfillers from Zero Gravity's resident DJ's will make sure the day to night celebrations just keep getting better.
