It's going to be a fun-filled, laughter-laden performance as funnyman Kapil Sharma gears up to bring his live comedy show to Dubai. Kapil Sharma Live will be held at the Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai, on Friday, January 24, 2020.
An Indian stand-up comedian, host, actor and producer, Kapil Sharma has garnered huge popularly through his shows, Comedy Nights with Kapil and currently on air, The Kapil Sharma Show. His other claims to fame include Comedy Circus where he won six seasons of the show and Jhalak DikhLa Ja - season 6, which he hosted. He has also featured in a few Bollywood movies including Kis Kisko Pyar Karoon, Firangi, Son of Manjeet Singh plus has given voice over for The Angry Birds Movie in Hindi for the character of the Red Bird.
The actor-comedian has won several accolades for his performances including the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year award in the entertainment category, while ranking 3rd in the Most Admired Indian Personality List by The Economic Times. Sharma has also featured in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list twice. He was further nominated for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Recently, he was also honoured by the World Book of Records, London as one of the most viewed stand-up comedians in India and abroad and for promoting animal rights.
"Having performed in Dubai earlier, I know what a great experience it is to go live here. The audience here is very responsive, and have a great sense of humour so it's fun engaging with them. For many Indians, UAE is their home-away-from-home, and it's my pleasure to bring a bit of home-like feel to them with my show, which I hope they will enjoy as much as I love performing it," said Kapil Sharma.
