Though veteran Bollywood actor Shekar Suman's son Adhyayan is worried about his father stepping out of the house during the Covid-19 pandemic and taking a trip to Patna to visit Sushant Singh Rajput's family, he said he fully understands why his dad has taken a special interest in helping the late actor's family.
"I do understand that it is coming from a space where he has lost a son," Adhyayan told The Times of India.
"When I was young, I lost my brother Aayush and I think that's where it is coming from. My father knows the pain of losing a son;. I think it is the most difficult thing for a parent to go through," he added.
Shekhar lost his elder son Aayush at the age of 11 due to a heart disease. The veteran star has also been calling for a CBI inquiry into the late actor's suicidal death. Sushant died on June 14 in Mumbai.
According to Adhyayan, there's nothing wrong in his dad demanding an inquiry.
Adhyayan further explained that though his father never knew the late actor personally, he was doing it on humanitarian grounds.
Shekar told a Mumbai daily recently that Sushant was like a son to him and that he could understand his father's pain. "This is because just like him, my son Adhyayan too has suffered depression and has gone through a similar phase," Shekhar said.
