DXB said in a statement that airport 'recovery will take some time' after there was flooding caused by rainwater on the runway
On Tuesday, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan conducted an interactive session, #AskSRK, on Twitter, responding to fans’ queries with his trademark wit.
The actor is currently in Dubai to support his cricket team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL).
However, if fans were hoping to catch him at a screening of one of his most famous films, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, when it re-releases this weekend in the UAE, they might be disappointed. When a fan tweeted, “#AskSRK will you go see DDLJ in cinemas in UAE,” he replied, “Not really will wait to watch a new film of mine in the theatres perhaps.”
When a user asked him to share some BTS moments of his film Mohabbatein, which is celebrating 20 years since its release, Shah Rukh recalled filming his first scene with Amitabh Bachchan. "I remember doing the first scene with @SrBachchan and realised how short and small I am," he quipped.
Shah Rukh, whose kids Aryan and Suhana have been spotted in the stands with him at some IPL matches in Dubai, also commented on how he is keeping himself busy at the moment. "Children, workout, watch IPL (Feel bad/ good), children," SRK wrote.
When asked whether he’s learned cooking during lockdown, he said: "Namak kitna daalna hai (how much salt to put) is still a struggle honestly." He revealed that he loves to eat "dal chawal (lentils and rice) with onion".
Shah Rukh also hinted he might start work on a new film soon. "Sir few words for your fans who want to see you on on-screen again," a user asked, to which he replied, "Will start shoot, then post production then cinemas to normalise...will take about a year I reckon...."
Shah Rukh’s birthday is coming up on November 2 and he urged fans not to gather anywhere on this occasion. "Please, I recommend nobody should collect in crowds. My birthday or wherever! Iss baar ka pyaar... thodha door se yaar (this time give me love from afar),” he quipped.
When a user asked if he was selling his Mumbai residence Mannat, Shah Rukh waxed philosophical. “Bhai Mannat bikti nahi sar jhuka kar maangi jaati hai....yaad rakhoge toh life mein kuch paa sakogay (Wishes cannot be sold...you have to bow down and ask for them, if you remember this then you will achieve something in life),” he said.
