Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, in a recorded statement to Mumbai Police, says he never dropped late actor Sushant Singh Rajput from any of his films, according to a report in The Times of India.
Bhansali had reportedly approached Sushant for Goliyon Ki Raas Leela - Ram Leela. He told police that Sushant declined the role, saying he was busy. He did not ask him again.
A source told Mumbai Mirror, "The statement of Bhansali centered around his (Bhansali's) conversation with Rajput after the film/s fell through because of the earlier contractual conditions."
Bhansali was questioned for nearly 2 hours and was subjected to 20 questions in the ongoing investigation into Sushant's death.
