According to a report in an Indian media outlet, Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty, who was denied bail on Friday in a drug case connected with the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has been housed in a cell without a bed or ceiling fan at Byculla prison.
She has been given a mat to sleep on.
Her immediate neighbour is reportedly Indrani Mukerjea who was accused of being involved in the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora.
Sources revealed that Rhea is in a single room due to security reasons and is guarded by two constables in three shifts around the clock.
Byculla jail is the only jail for women in Mumbai. Some Covid-19 cases have been found there in the past few months, as per reports.
