Popular Bollywood comedian-actor Sunil Grover is down with dengue and has been admitted to a hospital after he was diagnosed with the disease on Thursday night. Grover is currently in Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai.
A Mumbai Mirror report says that the actor was feeling feverish and weak after he returned from Delhi on August 25.
A source close to him was quoted as saying in the report, "Once he was back from Delhi, he said he was down with viral fever. But after checkup he got to know, he was suffering from dengue."
Grover confirmed to The Times of India that he was unwell.
Grover had grabbed attention through some good roles on the small screen. He has also carved a niche for himself in films. His TV characters Gutthi, Dr Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Devi have been much acclaimed by the audiences. Grover has also acted in movies like 'Gabbar is Back' and 'Baaghi'.
Grover had quit the Kapil Sharma Show some time back after some differences. He has been busy doing live shows and tours across the globe for the last three to five months, including in Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Colombo, Brunei, Dubai and Macau.
Rumours have been doing rounds that Grover will start his own show.
When the actor was asked about his future plans, Grover aptly remarked, "Currently, I am focusing on increasing my platelets."
