How much Shahid Kapoor charges for a film post Padmaavat?

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali paid Rs13 crore to Padmaavat's lead actor Deepika while Ranveer and Shahid were paid Rs10 crore each.

With the success of Padmaavat, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor have entered the 100-crore club. And especially for Shahid who played Raja Ratan Singh Rawal, the epic movie has certainly opened up new avenues for the actor. Though Shahid has been a part of some big-budget movies earlier, this is the first time he acted in such a magnanimous film. And, his performance in the film, alongside big stars like Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, is being praised immensely.
According to reports in Deccan Chronicle, post the huge success of the much controversial film Padmaavat, Shahid now plans to hike his fees by Rs1 crore.

Shahid is currently shooting for Shree Narayan Singh's Batti Gul Meter Chalu in Uttarakhand and post the success of Padmaavat, this movie has elevated expectations of the audience. It is said that distributors are willing to pay a much higher price for a Shahid solo-starrer than they were earlier.
Prernaa Arora, who is the co-producer of Batti Gul Meter Chalu, said, "Padmaavat has made a difference. But we would have been just as happy with our decision to work with Shahid even if Padmaavat had not enhanced his market value."
She added, "The dedication with which he had prepared for his role has bowled us over. We would love to work with him."
