Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan paid tribute to healthcare workers battling the coronavirus crisis in India.
He was admitted to Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital on Saturday after testing Covid-19 positive. His son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, also tested positive and was hospitalized.
Amitabh called medical workers 'companions' of sufferers and said they 'fly the flags of humanity'.
"Pristine white their layered dress ; dedicated to serve they be ; god like incarnations they ; companions of the sufferer they ; erased they their ego have ; to us they have embraced in care ; they be the divine destination ; they fly the flags of humanity," he wrote on Twitter in a tribute to medical workers.
