The veteran star reveals he was surprised to see his name in the cast list

The Hindi web series 7th Sense, which is reportedly being shot in Dubai, seems to have hit choppy waters and turned into a 'real-life drama' of sorts. A couple of days back, one of the key cast members, Ameesha Patel, walked out of the show and returned to Mumbai after parting ways with the production. "I do not want to get into the reasons as to why I'm quitting the series but I won't be coming back to Dubai to shoot for 7th Sense," the actress told City Times earlier.

Then there was a decree issued by the Bombay High Court against 7th Sense producer Gaurang Doshi which was published in a local daily on Friday.

Now, veteran Bollywood actor Chunky Pandey, has denied that he was supposed to be part of 7th Sense even though his name has appeared in the cast list.

"I'm surprised myself. I don't know how my name got published in cast list," Chunky told City Times over the phone from Mumbai on Friday afternoon.

"People have been calling me from Dubai and asking me when I'm coming down for the shoot. What can I say, I haven't even signed the contract for the show. I was not even aware that they had started shooting the show in Dubai. Even Ronit (Roy) was announced to work in the show," he added.

The Abhay 2 actor and father of Khaali Peeli actress Ananya Panday said that he was initially approached by Gaurang Doshi in May to work in 7th Sense. The shooting was scheduled for June-July and was supposed to end in August, but Chunky had not signed on the dotted line as the dates would clash with some of his other commitments if there were any delays in the project.

"He (Gaurang) was supposed to shoot the show in June-July and at that time, I made it clear to him that I have dates only until mid-August and that I wouldn't be able to take part in the show if it got delayed. That was it, after that I haven't been in touch with Gaurang. After that, I heard that the project was delayed for some reason," Chunky explained.

Directed by Karan Darra, the murder mystery stars R Madhavan, Prateik Babbar, Elli AvrRam, and Tanuj Virwani amongst many others. Crew members arrived in Dubai earlier last month and the series was expected to start filming towards the end of August.
