Actress and model Kate Sharma has filed a police complaint against popular filmmaker Subhash Ghai for molestation, blackmailing and mental torture.
In the complaint, the actress has alleged the filmmaker tried to forcibly kiss and hug her when he had called her to his house.
After filing the complaint, Kate is quoted as saying by ANI, "He called me to his house on August 6. There were about five to six people at his house and in front of everybody, he asked me to give him a massage. It was shocking for me but I respected his seniority and agreed. I massaged him for two to three minutes and then went to the washroom to wash my hand. He followed me to there. He then took me to his room saying that he wanted to talk to me about something. However, he grabbed me and tried to kiss and hug me."

She has also mentioned that he also threw a special birthday bash to impress her. And would always flirt with her to get her attention.
Subhash Ghai took to his Twitter handle to express his distress over the accusations and wrote:
"I am surely a grt supporter of d metoo movement n women empowerment bt hope that those taking undue advantage of the movement do not end up diluting it 4their own short time fame. I feel grief if some one trying 2harm my reputation.Any way my lawyers will take care of matter."

Earlier on Thursday, a woman had shared her ordeal on Twitter via writer Mahima Kukreja. In the post, the woman had accused filmmaker Subhash Ghai of drugging her and raping her.

Ghai later denied the accusation and said in a statement to PTI, "It is sad that it is becoming a fashion to malign anyone known, bringing some stories from past without any truth or blown up false allegations if all. I deny strictly and firmly all false allegations like these."
In another statement to ANI, he added, "I've always respected every woman in my life and at workplace."
