Why Bebo won’t dance

While most of us are still thinking of New Year resolutions, Kareena Kapoor has already made one: no more dancing and performing at weddings! Sources reveal that boyfriend Saif and his family are said to be the reasoning behind Kareena’s new stand.

A source close to Kareena says, “Bebo and Saif are very serious about each other and are planning to tie the knot soon. Saif belongs to a royal and conservative family and his parents are against any of their girls dancing at weddings, and especially their daughter-in-law to be. As Kareena is ready to do anything to please Saif’s parents, she has taken this firm decision.”

In the past Kareena has performed at London based Indian millionaire Laxmi Mittal’s daughter Vanisha’s wedding and diamond merchant Arnav Mehta’s wedding, where the Arora sisters had given her company. However, now despite receiving innumerable offers and exorbitant sums Kareena has been turning down all these events.

Kareena has confirmed that she wouldn’t be dancing at any weddings. She says “I belong to a very respectable family and I have always taken care not to do things that would embarrass them or cause them disrespect. Many of my fans look up to me and I only want to set a good example to the youth so I can’t even think of dancing at marriages!”

When asked if her decision was influenced by her beau Saif, Kareena refused to comment. However, our source confirms, “Saif is extremely particular that his girlfriend shouldn’t dance in front of strangers. He’s also protective about Bebo and doesn’t want her entertaining people at weddings, no matter what the money!” Does this mean that Kareena is all set to walk the isle?

Our source says, “Kareena’s best friend Amrita Arora is getting married next March. Saif is eager to get married right away, but Kareena has been hesitant because she feels she would like to concentrate on her career as it is going great guns. Of course she wishes to get married but not just yet. She has waited a long time to reach this height in her career and does not wish to throw it all away. Kareena is a very homely girl and once she ties the knot she wishes to give more time to her marriage. To her, marriage is a very serious step and she would like to give her all to it.”

While Saif’s parents have accepted Kareena, sources say, they had issues with a few things and Kareena performing at weddings was one of them. So this was Bebo’s way of showing them that she respected their feelings. Wonder what Kareena’s mom Babita has to say about her daughter’s latest move!
