A SUCCESSFUL MODEL, certainly, but Dino Morea’s Bollywood career didn’t quite take off. And recently, save for a brief role in Pyaar Impossible as Priyanka Chopra’s love interest and a blink-and-miss guest appearance in Om Shanti Om, he’s been missing from the movie scene for a while now.

“The reason is that I wasn’t getting the kind of scripts I wanted to work with. And I don’t want to do just about any film that probably won’t be good for me. I’ve done a couple of movies in the past that were really bad and I’ve realised that there’s no point in doing it; not even for the money.”

So is Morea sitting around waiting for the proverbial ‘big break’? No, not really. “It’s true that one good film can change everything. You’re as good as your last Friday. So if your movie does great, you’re great. However, if it doesn’t then your stock falls. But right now, I’m busy with co-producting Jism part two.”

The actor further notes that the script for the thriller is still being penned, so he can’t give away anything about the plot or the cast. But he does state that he is thoroughly enjoying stepping into the shoes of the film’s financer.

“I like the idea of making something that I think will be fantastic otherwise you get stuck doing what everyone else asks you to do. Maybe I’ll get it right or maybe I won’t but I want to give it a shot.”

Back on the ramp after a long time, Morea also said that he genuinely likes designer Saba Waseem’s collection, which is what brought him to the Dubai Fashion Week runway. And we couldn’t let him go without asking him how he keeps fit.

“I do play a lot of sport, which is something I have been doing since I was a kid. So it’s that habit that helps me keep fit. Football and basketball is what I indulge in. ”
