UAEs Speedy Comics to host online event with stars in November
"We can't come to Dubai right now, wish we could, but we are coming to you virtually." The words of Superman TV show Smallvilles Tom Welling struck a chord as City Walk's iconic comic book and merchandise store Speedy Comics last night announced its inaugural virtual comic con taking place on November 13 and 14 with the actor who has continuously played Clark Kent/ the Man Of Steel longer than anyone else confirmed as one of the chief guests.
In the 30-second video announcing the iconic shops first foray into conventions, Welling offered congratulations to Speedy's local owner Rashid Al Farooq before a brief montage of the star playing the iconic superhero and, more recently, Lieutenant Marcus Pierce on hit drama Lucifer rolled out.
