Vhong has officially landed the lead role as Nicolas, Betty’s best friend and said to be her male version not just in terms of looks with the glasses, braces and nerdy look, but in personality. Photos of Vhong as Nicolas have already been making the rounds, and the good-looking Vhong seems like a good fit for the role.

Vhong is most known for being an excellent dancer, as evidenced by his performances on ASAP. This is due to the fact that he started out as part of the allmale dance group known as The Streetboys until he was discovered by director Chito Rono who continues to manage him. From then on, Vhong starred and appeared in numerous television shows and films. He landed his first lead role in 2003 as Mr. Suave (based on the hit novelty song of the same title). The following year, he landed the lead role in Gagamboy, a local version of Spiderman.

Other comedy films that he has starred in are Otso Otso Pamela One, D’ Anothers, Agent X-44 and his most recent boxoffice winner, Supahpapalicious.

Although he is more popular as a comedian, Vhong has also done his share of dramatic roles on television. You may have seen him trying on dramatic roles in Lastikman, Love Spell and an episode of I Love KC.

The dancer-comedian has no qualms about playing a supporting role to Bea because they’re good friends besides being co-hosts on ASAP. “I don’t mind (playing support to Bea) because I know that she’d do the same for me given the chance,” says Vhong.
