DO SISTERS have similar habits? Perhaps, especially if they live in close proximity to each other like our very own songbirds Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle. However, their similarities would end as far as their most common denominator — music — goes!

In a surprisingly candid admission a few days ago, Lataji admitted that she wasn't familiar with a single Himesh Reshammiya song, despite sister Asha having collaborated with him on Mehbooba for Aap Ka Suroor. Rather surprising, considering you'd have a hard time going through the day without hearing at least one of his ultra-catchy tunes blaring out of a speaker or two!

Himesh, admitting that even though Lataji hadn't heard his songs, she was indeed his muse and inspiration.

"Lataji is a legend, my idol and a great inspiration for us and all youngsters. If she said that she has not heard me then I can only say that I love and respect her and she is the best," says the singer.

Asked whether the past with Ashaji is truly behind him, he adds, "I'm honoured to work with Ashaji and very happy that she has forgiven me over the controversy that happened."
