Anyone would think Jassi had posed in the buff the way everyone reacted in outraged shock to her lingerie-clad photograph in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin last week. Have they looked around and seen what the Mallikas and Malaikas of the world are not wearing?

All Jassi (or rather, the model in the morphed photograph) has shown is a bit of leg and such a gobsmacked reaction from especially the Suris — Jassi's in-laws-to-be who own a fashion house and must be more than used to models in skimpy garb — seemed over the top.

Oh, but we guess that Jassi must be looked at with different eyes (read double standards) because she is all set to marry their son. Funnily enough, this latest twist was solved in two seconds flat and all is hunky dory again with Armaan (who's had a much needed haircut) and his beloved Jassi. Well almost, because Jassi's enemies are already working on their next plot to separate the two and last seen, talk had veered to prenup agreements.

Apoorva Agnihotri (as Armaan) has the sweetest smile on Sony, but we do miss his former spit and swagger. Mona Singh, poor thing, has lost her initial bloom and is looking decidedly horsy these days. She hardly looks a supermodel, and indeed would look more at home in the farming fields of her hometown Amritsar. That curly-topped horror Rakhi Tandon — playing the unangelic Angel, Armaan's sister — is a new addition. Here is an annoying young lady but since Angel is meant to be an annoying young lady, perhaps that's fine.

It would be nice, however, if she could stop that obnoxious way of pulling her mouth in every possible direction while speaking her lines. On the plus side, Samir Soni (enough of the yawningly monotonous performance) has made an exit. All said and endured, it's abundantly clear that the serial has lost its way and now could pass off for any run-of-the-mill Balaji Telefilms' fare. Kahaani Grrr Grrr Kii, anyone?
