The pair tangled while battling for third place behind winner Oscar Piastri of McLaren and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc
The Dutch legend is currently on his 14-month Kaleidoscope World Tour, the biggest DJ-only tour in history (playing 175 dates across six continents to a million fans) and is said to be inspired by U2’s spectacular stadium concerts.
“This year I have concentrated all my energy on the Kaleidoscope World Tour,” said the 41-year-old, whose Abu Dhabi set is sandwiched between gigs in Ibiza and Miami. “Along with the music, I have created some of my best production to date; it really feels like something special.”
Tiësto was named the world’s best DJ three years in a row by DJ Magazine between 2002 and 2004. As well as being nominated for a Grammy in 2008, the spinner has his own wax statue at Madame Tussauds in Amsterdam and has performed live at the Olympic Games.
September 6 sees the release of Kaleidoscope Remixed – the reworked version of Kaleidoscope, Tiësto’s fourth album, which featured the likes of Calvin Harris, Nelly Furtado and Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke.
