He takes controlled aggression to a different level altogether.

He is also an ace at tempering flamboyance with maturity and style icon status with sensibility. Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is sure a package.

And if the buzz is to be believed, the man —true to his image —is also about to acquire a high-maintenance girlfriend in the form of actress Deepika Padukone. And rumours also suggest that not just him, Yuvraj Singh has also fallen for the pretty model-turned-actress.

So, do we see a love triangle here? Mahi is categorical, "These are all rumours. There is no truth in my alleged link-up with Deepika."

And what about his other Bollywood connection —John Abraham who was present at the salon while Mahi did away with his famous locks? "He saw my new hairdo and said, 'You are looking great man!' Actually it was great fun to have John along with me during the hair-cutting session and he was full of compliments," explains Mahi.

Now, that brings us to the crux of the interview —his new haircut? Mahi laughs and says, "There is no other reason except that I wanted a change. I had had the last hairdo for a long time. The best part is that people are appreciating my look. Now isn't it looking good?"

As you nod in approval, the captain is called away by his various commitments but promises before going, "I am sorry that I have to rush but I will give you a long interview the next time I come to New Delhi." And Dhoni, as we know, is also a man of his word.
