Not Sherilyn Reyes. One of the hosts of Moms on QTV 11, a sister station of GMA-7, she absolutely loves being a mother.
If you ever have the chance to interview 'She', as she's fondly called, it immediately becomes evident how much she enjoys talking about her husband, basketball player Chris Tan, and her two sons, Paoie and Quirsten. Paoie is her son by ex-husband Junjun Santiago, brother of Randy, Rowell and Raymart; Quirsten is her son by Chris, although the two think of themselves as real brothers.
In fact, she is thinking about going back to school to get her degree in Child Psychology.
Sherilyn, a former Mutya ng Cebu and third runner-up in the Mutya ng Pilipinas contest was in her third year of BS Accountancy studies when she was forced to quit because of her showbiz commitments.
Now, she says, she wants to go back to school for her children. "I feel like I'm rusty [because I've been out of school for so long]," laughs the ex-beauty queen-turned TV host.
She wants to take up Child Psychology "because I want to learn how I can raise my children well".
Doing a show like Moms — which she co-hosts with two other showbiz moms, Manilyn Reynes and Lani Mercado —has taught Sherilyn how to appreciate her being a mother more.
Because she is also a mother, there are times that the topics they discuss on the show become very real to her, and she cries.
One such topic was when they discussed mothers who've lost their children to illness or death.
