There is no way that you don't know a Rihanna song. No way. Even if you haven't bought her album or wouldn't necessarily call yourself a Rihanna fan, you know, that you think Rihanna (Riri) is cool. But why is she cool? The obvious and easy answer is - just cause. However, we know we can't fill a whole story with "just cause" - though how cool would that be?
On the occasion of Riri visiting Dubai to host her first ever makeup class, we had to put our favourite pop star under the microscope and analyse her cool DNA. In case you weren't aware, first of all be ashamed, mark your calendars that Fenty Beauty Artistry & Beauty Talk With Rihanna will be an event where the Barbadian Queen will be teaching her beauty tips and tricks in Dubai at a hitherto undisclosed location... It's all happening on September 29 where she will be accompanied by Fenty Beauty Global Makeup Artists, Priscilla Ono and Hector Espinal. Oh and even better, the event benefits Dubai Cares! You can still get tickets at www.ticketmaster.ae
Back to the important stuff. Rihanna's cool status. Yes, her music is awesome but we realised that Rihanna's cool factor goes way beyond, great lyrics, beats and music videos. So, what is the sum of her parts that together have created the coolest icon of our generation? We get right into it!

Insta-Riri
Unlike many other legitimate celebrities, Rihanna's Instagram isn't controlled by a press team. Rihanna herself posts personal photos, magazine editorials and song teasers. Social media is not a game for Riri! She responds to comments and messages, makes fun of herself, is honest and hilarious. Don't believe us? Follow her on Instagram now!
Riri-cognition
It's no surprise that Riri has won a lot of awards for her music (nine Grammy Awards!) But what about beyond music? Did you know that Riri was named Harvard Humanitarian of the Year? The prestigious University awarded Riri for fighting hard for girls' rights and education worldwide. Accepting her honour, Rihanna flipped her hair and said, "So, I made it to Harvard!"
Can we also not forget that Rihanna has met with French president Emmanuel Macron at least two times to discuss her work on helping to spread and fund global education? Riri was also recently appointed the ambassador for her native Barbados!
Style Icon
Rihanna's relationship with fashion is a love story for the ages. Her daring, risky, gender bending, out there, eclectic style has seen her become more than just an It girl with an eye for fashion - but a designer herself who isn't afraid of a little risk. Let us remind you that in January 2013 Riri debuted a unique asymmetrical punk-rock hairstyle with the entire left side of her head shaved with long extensions to her right which literally triggered an army of copycat hairstyles!
MakeUp Queen
Kylie Jenner who? Last year, Rihanna emerged as the queen of beauty when her Fenty Beauty line had sales that were five times higher than Kylie Cosmetics in its first month, and 34 percent higher in its second month. We won't be surprised if Rihanna's growing empire will outshine the Kardashian Kosmetics empire. Why? Check out her quotes on her latest collection and you'll know why.

"I'm inspired by women all the time. In their different personalities, skin tones, lifestyles, and beliefs. Beauty allows us to celebrate and highlight all of our different features. Beauty for all, that's what I believe in, that's what Fenty Beauty is about."
"I'm making makeup that I dream of teenagers to wear, women of all ages, all sizes, all skin tones, all religions, all cultures. This is exactly why I'm doing this."
"My lifelong obsession with makeup started with watching my mom put her makeup on. I always loved to watch her, and all the funny faces she was making in the mirror. I never understood it until I got older and fell in love with makeup myself and really started becoming obsessed."
Rumoured Cool Facts

Want to find out who your true friends are? Riri doesn't put her date of birth on Facebook so only her true friends know when to wish her a Happy Birthday.
Riri writes her address on important documents as BarBAEdos.
Did you know Riri was a military cadet during high school? And that at 15, she won her high school beauty pageant and was named Miss Combermere after performing Mariah Carey's Hero. Her voice is considered "Mezzo-Soprano" that covers three octaves.
After that, her big break came in 2003 when she was introduced to music producer Evan Rogers through mutual friends. He was vacationing in Barbados with his wife at the time when Rihanna went to audition for him with two of her classmates. He told Entertainment Weekly, "The minute Rihanna walked into the room, it was like the other two girls didn't exist."
After that, Riri moved to Connecticut with Rogers and his wife to try and jumpstart her career. She ended up recording a demo tape and auditioning for Jay-Z who signed her on. She was 16 at the time and then moved to New York!
Rihanna banned fans from bringing umbrellas to her UK concerts. She was afraid people would get injured if fans tried to copy her dance moves with the umbrellas when she performed Umbrella.
