of Festival Waterfront Centre. This week Dubai Festival City has celebrated the opening of the Canal Walk, setting the scene for what will become the most spectacular dining destination in Dubai.
Canal Walk is a beautiful 450 metre waterway that meanders through the heart of Dubai Festival City’s dining and entertainment district. International restaurants, cafés and bistros on Canal Walk will provide al fresco waterside dining, as well as indoor dining, on two levels of terraced walkway, offering the largest and most diverse collection of dining venues in Dubai. Linked directly into the main body of the shopping centre, Canal Walk is fully serviced by a fleet of traditional Arabic water taxis —abras, offering a secluded haven from the bustle of the city which the whole family can enjoy.
The all fresco and indoor dining venues offer a choice of fine dining, gourmet cuisine, buffet and fast food all united by the lively waterfront atmosphere. This will give life to a new downtown café culture with renowned and new-to-market food and beverage outlets found in two-themed pavilions strategically located between Canal Walk and the Mediterranean-style Festival Marina, ensuring stunning waterfront views.
“Dubai Festival City is about creating a place of ambience, which is what our waterfront dining will offer Dubai’s residents and visitors,” said Tom Miles, Senior General Manager – Retail, Dubai Festival City. “The selection of popular and new to market regional and international brands, blended into a vibrant downtown waterfront setting, will make Dubai Festival City a premier al fresco dining destination.”
