Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt recorded his statement in the Sushant Singh Rajput case at Santa Cruz police station on Monday, according to reports in various media outlets.

He was pictured wearing a face mask and shield. Earlier in the day, he had tweeted, "We are here for a blink of an eye. Pride dissolves in the presence of death. May we accept our mortality. This too shall pass."

So far, police have recorded the statements of over 40 people in connection with the case, which was ruled a suicide after a post mortem. However, fans of the actor have been increasingly demanding a CBI probe into the matter with many claiming the death was mysterious. The police investigation is ongoing.
