My label was launched on these ramps and since then have catered to several luxury stores in the region."

Deepika says, "I truly love the contemporary woman of Dubai, liberated yet she respects tradition; free but she sets her own limits, this is a wise woman who dares to be herself. For Dubai I keep that as the cornerstone of my collections.

The silhouettes: Chic cocktail dresses, short and sassy in tiger and leopard prints, lavishly meshed with embellishments.

The fabrics: Touchable luxe. Digitally printed silk with jewel embroideries, cotton and silk knits with soft chiffons, georgettes and a touch of jacquard and jersey for shapelier gowns.

The colours: Black, browns, burnished gold, beige and soft skin shades set off by digital prints in tiger, panther and zebra - the relief of white comes only in digital printing

The look: Pure luxe for the 'ladies who lunch.'

Deepika says that she loved unveiling her 'Fashion Week Spring Summer 2008 collection, describing it as 'exotic and exciting', as each ensemble is embroidered and shaped with rare details.
