Actor-director Farhan Akhtar is looking forward eagerly to sis Zoya's film, 'Luck By Chance', that has him playing a lead role
Even as 'Rock On!!' is on it's way to becoming a cult film, Farhan Akhtar is now looking forward to his next movie Luck By Chance by his sister Zoya Akhtar. And that's because he thinks it has come out very well.
The director who turned actor recently, says he saw the first cut version of the movie and loved it. "It is extremely funny and I was falling off laughing. The film should do well," says Farhan.
The story of Luck By Chance is based on the film industry. Farhan plays an actor who comes from Delhi to try his luck in the film industry. "Yet again I play a guy from Delhi who comes to Mumbai to make it big. The film is a take on what role luck plays in the industry," he says. The film also stars Hrithik Roshan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia.
Farhan says he has liked the idea and the way Zoya goes about telling the story. "Zoya is very good as a writer and that comes across in the way she develops the character and the story," admits the young filmmaker, adding that he gets his sister to go through his own scripts like a script doctor to add up to it in her own way.
And while he awaits Luck By Chance's release, he is hoping that Fakir, which was to be his debut movie initially, would release sometime soon too. "We have liked the film. It's up to the producers to release it soon now," he says.
Farhan, who is still on the Rock On gear as he gets ready for a concert the proceeds from which will be channelled to the aid of children of Bihar, is also getting loads of other acting offers. And though he has not read any script as yet, he is keen on acting with other producers as well. But of course on the clause that the film is not shelved mid way and his time is not lost forever.
Meantime, Farhan is done with the script of Don 2 and says he would start shooting for it only later next year. And finally, the Rock On sequel - he agrees that if there is a good enough story, he would definitely make it.
