In Dubai, overall activity levels rose at the fastest pace in four months
FROM THE mid 1700s, when hunters from the Bani Yas tribe built their first settlement, hunting, horsemanship, fishing and falconry have been an integral part of Abu Dhabi’s heritage.
Giving importance to the cultures and traditions of Arabian region, the capital celebrates these activities, and the customs and values that surround them, by hosting what has become the Emirate’s leading public show, the fourth edition of Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, from October 24-27, at the new iconic Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, ADIHEX is sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority in association with the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage. Turret Middle East, a leading organiser of conferences and exhibitions in the Middle East and North Africa, has been appointed by The Emirates Falconer’s Club to organise the event.
ADIHEX, an annual premier show, provides a suitable setting for manufacturers of guns, hunting vehicles, shooting, fishing, falconry, other outdoor sports equipment and accessories, to showcase their products and services to the crowd.
In addition to these, the exhibition will feature camel and horse auctions, saluki beauty contests, art competition and a wide range of the leisure activities available in Abu Dhabi.
"ADIHEX is a key exhibition on Abu Dhabi’s event calendar and we are very pleased to have been selected by the Emirates Falconer’s Club to organise this show. This year, the exhibition will showcase Abu Dhabi’s rich culture and heritage, alongside all the modern activities and attractions that are available to residents and visitors alike," said Richard Hease, Chairman of Turret Middle East Ltd.
