And as expected, Aamir’s comments seem to have raised a lot of criticism among the latter’s fans forcing him to tender an apology for his not-so sporting comments against SRK.

“I would first of all like to sincerely apologise to people who have been badly hurt by my comments. Believe me, my intentions were not to hurt any one not even Shah Rukh. We have been the best of friends since many years now and it was in just plain humour. But since it has hurt many people, I am sorry for the same,” Aamir acted contrite at the recent music launch of his nephew Imraan Khan’s debut film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.

The venue of the launch was, quite interestingly, thespian Shammi Kapoor’s residence.

When asked why Shammi Kapoor to release the music, Aamir said, “Shammiji has always been a lucky mascot for me, right from Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak to Taare Zameen Par. So I could not think of anyone else to release the music of Imraan’s first film too.” Talking about the music he said, “After a long time, AR Rahman has given a very youthful music and I am sure people would enjoy it.” The film releases alongside Love Story 2050 which marks the debut of Harman Baweja, son of Harry Baweja.

To this Aamir modestly says, “I wish both the films all the best and great success. I would want both Imraan and Harman to be liked and adored by the audiences. I am sure both would do really well,” he signed off.
