DJs in the UAE, Bahrain and Oman can register for the Thirst competition, which is being held until August 18. This year, Thirst is encouraging DJs to go that extra mile, using vocals or collaborations with musicians, in addition to great DJ skills.
DJs can download application forms from www.thirst-gulf.com or collect them from local MMI and Virgin Stores (Dubai), BMMI stores (Bahrain) or OUA stores (Oman), and send it to Thirst Gulf along with a CD mix.
Thirst culminates in two massive dance music nights in Dubai, in September, featuring some of the world's biggest DJs, including the world's number one DJ, Tiësto, who expressed his support for Heineken Music and his excitement about playing in Dubai for the first time: "I've heard a lot about Dubai so I'm feeling pretty honoured to be able to play here for the first time in September. The competition will be hot, so guys and girls, get your entries in now and you could be playing alongside me at MPV on September 15."
