Considered one of the most influential people in Philippine showbiz today, Toni Gonzaga is not just a good actress and a superb host of ABS-CBN's hit reality-show Pinoy Big Brother but a gifted performer as well.
Singing is a talent which she is truly proud of. "One time, I even joined the Metropop, where one of the contestants was Kyla. We both didn't win." Toni has a new album called You Complete Me, with We Belong as the main track. Penned by Christian Martinez, We Belong is about a girl who says hello to an attractive stranger. The song is getting good airplay on radio and in music channels. In fact, it is No 1 in the music countdown of MYX. We Belong was chosen to be the theme song of the popular Korean novel, Wonderful Life, aired daily on ABS-CBN.
The content of Toni's album is a varied mix of music style, combining both new and classic elements. Also in the album, is: You Are the One (also featuring Sam Milby, a former Pinoy Big Brother housemate). The song is the theme music of the Claudine Barretto-Raymart Santiago wedding.
Speaking of Sam Milby, Toni would not confirm the rumour that she and Sam are indeed an item. But she revealed that they are very close. During the time that Sam was in the US with Piolo Pascual and Rica Peralejo for a concert, they kept in touch. Toni and Sam will soon be doing a movie together for Star Cinema. "That's why I wait for our relationship to go deeper," Toni joked. "But I like Sam. That I will not deny. And he's good-looking, too."
