Then Mahesh Bhatt spoke about his experiences and how he quit alcohol 16 years ago.
But the best speech of the day came from Pooja Bhatt when she talked at length about how difficult it was to open the door to an alcoholic father and how happy she was that he had quit alcohol. Then she broke down while talking about the days when she with her mother Kiran drifted away from her father.
Pooja received a thunderous response and Mahesh Bhatt gained a lot of respect for his daughter after her candid confession. "I learnt so much about what she though, because she was the one who opened the door tome when I was drunk," says Mahesh Bhatt.
