(The Five Senses) audio production house, the channel extensively promotes the Khaleeji music and is being projected as a channel for the whole family. Speaking to Khaleej Times, Laila Elghouche, Public Relations Manager of AlHawas, said that the channel is very selective about the content it broadcasts in that it not only focuses on traditional Gulf music, but is also conscious about the region's culture and its emphasis on decency.

“It's a channel for everyone in the family, even children; as such we are talking about music and videos that are in line with the culture of the UAE and respectful of the traditions and beliefs of the people,” Elghouche commented.

The channel offers a variety of programmes and an interactive system that enables viewers to SMS their music requests. The launch event was attended by popular artistes including AbdulRab Idris, famous traditional singer from Saudi Arabia, UAE singer Hamad Alamry, and Asma'a Almunawar of Morocco. The gathering was mesmerised by Idris, who presented one of his very popular numbers called Leila.
