Critically acclaimed comedian Max Amini is coming back to Dubai this summer with a brand new act.

The Iranian-American funnyman will be performing two shows, part of his Authentically Absurd tour, in a single night on July 24 at Ductac, Mall of the Emirates.

The actor and stand-up comic first rose to fame thanks a dedicated online fan base: his YouTube videos have racked up more than 15 millions views and tens of thousands of subscribers. Offline, his popularity and reputation is matched. He’s a resident at American comedy institution Laugh Factory, was a finalist on NBC’s Diversity Showcase, and is a series regular on Real Rob. Amini’s TV credits also include Heroes and Mind of Mencia.

With his new show, Authentically Absurd, Amini will once again get to grips with his Iranian heritage in this one hour special. Hollywood actor Rob Schneider even teamed up with Amini recently to direct the LA-based stand up’s hour-long special.

The evening will be supported by local talent, with an opening duo-performance by Dubai Laughing co-founders Salman Qureshi and Ray Addison.

Tickets start at Dhs250, available at www.platinumlist.net.
