We also found out that contrary to reports, Manyata is very much a Mumbai girl. She has spent a large part of her childhood in Versova.

Says a source, "Manyata's aunt Nishad and uncle Zaheer have cut off ties with her because of her association with Sanjay. Before they got involved, she used to stay with her mother and brother Naved in a building called Blessings. They later shifted to a plush 3-bedroom flat where Manyata stayed for a few days before moving in with Sanjay. Buzz is that Sanjay had especially brought the Lokhandwala flat for Manyata's mother and brother."

Producer Nitin Manmohan introduced Sanjay to Manyata, and thereafter the two became very close and started living-in.

We visited Blessings building but the door to Manyata's flat was locked. Her neighbour, Rehmani said, "Her mother left with her son Naved a year ago."

Another neighbour revealed that her mother currently resides in Lokhandwala and her sister Nishad stays in Park View, just a few blocks away from Blessings. We tried speaking to Nishad but she refused to speak on the family matter.

However, a resident told us that Manyata's maternal uncle Zaheer stays close by. Although Zaheer was unavailable for comment, his son Zayyed said, "Our family has disowned Manyata. She is only in touch with her mother. Her father is no more. Manyata is very much from Mumbai and not from Dubai as the media claims."

"Before she got together with Sanjay, things were far different. We were a family and she used to visit us often. We didn't even attend Sanjay and Manyata's wedding as we weren't invited. We have no connections with her now," Zayyed added.

We later tried calling Zaheer again. "Which family, which sister? I don't have anything to do with this," he said before hanging up.
