Man of a few words

AAMIR KHAN has been steering away from any kind of a talk unless his films are up for release or his endorsements are taking place. That too he only says what he wants to. No questions fielded. Here's Aamir Khan having a field day.

"My first watch was a Titan. I have been endorsing Titan for ever since 2004. I endorse a very few brands and Titan is one of them. It has got style and substance. It makes a statement.

The first time I shot for Titan I had long hair. I was working for Mangal Pandey. It has been great working with Titan. The guys here are full of new ideas and very innovative. I am impressed with Aviator and it's my pleasure to launch this series," reeled off Khan about the virtues of his watch. Mind you despite having the watch, Khan stepped on stage a few minutes late. Khan however did then talk about a couple of things as the anchor of the event quizzed him.

"With the world cup round the corner, do you have a message for the Indian cricket team," asked the anchor. "India is going to win! Our boys are the best. I love cricket. Indian teams go out and show what we are made of. Do your best in West Indies, best of Luck," replied Khan.

Are you doing any new movies this year?

"Last year has been great for me with Rang De Basanti and Fanaa. I am very happy with the way things are going for me. Rang De Basanti was one of those movies that not only entertained, but also inspired and surprised people. What Rang De Basanti did to the masses, very few films do. And of course, Fanaa was a big blockbuster. I played a very unique role in the movie. I enjoyed playing that role. It was a challenging experience. I am working on a movie called Tare Zameen Par. I am producing the film. It is a film for the children. We have finished shooting. The post-production for the film is on. It is another script that has moved me and is very close to my heart. We are hoping to release the movie in the latter half of the year. This will be my only release this year. I don't have that many movies," signs off Khan.
