In its 10th edition, Swiss Days are back again in Dubai. The innovative pop music group Pegasus will perform on February 1 showcasing their talents that won them three prizes at the Swiss Music Awards. On February 2, you can enjoy the mental magic of Federico Soldati - magician, artist and television presenter. Performances start at 8.30 pm at the Madinat Theatre, Souk Madinat Jumeirah Dubai.
At the conference announcing the event, Maya Tissafi, Ambassador of Switzerland to the UAE, said: "Swiss days are about festivity, sensations and shows. We are really happy to welcome to the region Pegasus and the Swiss magician and mentalist Federico Soldati, who conquered Europe with unique shows and exclusive magic tricks. I can only congratulate Kurt Blum, the CEO of Swiss Art Gate UAE, for his continuous engagement in favour of Swiss Culture."
She added, "We are very proud to have been supporting Swiss Days from its early inception. In fact, the event has progressively become a real institution in the UAE, where Switzerland is represented by its new generation of artists, who get a chance to communicate about Swiss values and the Helvetic spirit of entertainment in Dubai."
Tissafi continued, "This event would have not been possible without the true commitment and support of sponsors, who, year after year, contributed to the success of this event. I would really like to thank them all for their countless support."
For those who are not familiar with Swiss talent, Pegasus represents innovative pop music. They are currently one of the most successful pop bands in Switzerland. This award-winning trio has already earned gold and platinum records, a number one hit song in the charts, several top-ten singles, and are now ready to go international.
Federico Soldati is a professional artist and television presenter based in Switzerland. He has been enthralling audiences for over 10 years with intriguing and innovative shows. His passion and enthusiasm for constantly expanding his repertoire led to his first public presentations at the age of 14.
It has been a nostalgic journey for Kurt Blum, General Manager of Swiss Art Gate UAE. He recollects, "My heart fills with pleasure as I look back upon 10 years of Swiss Days Dubai. I remember the excitement of the initial meetings, together with the fears and anxieties about whether we will succeed in developing a Swiss cultural event in the UAE. We pressed on, and today we are able to celebrate 10 years of this unique and entertaining performing event for our UAE community. Let us celebrate with two outstanding performances that I am completely sure will surprise our audience!"
