'Life begins at 50'

The actress is doing four movies this year. "I have just finished shooting for Phir Kabhi with Mithun, and he is absolutely sensational in it. I am also working with Amitabh Bachchan in a film." she reveals.

However, it is her iconic Bobby that is closest to Dimple's heart. "People still come to me and compliment me on Bobby. Like someone told me recently that he used to bunk school to catch up with my movies. That's really sweet. And I can't thank Raj Kapoor enough for that. That film had quite an impact on people." she gushes.

Not that Dimple is not enjoying life right now. "In fact, I believe that life begins at 50. This is a very exciting time of my life and I am planning to make the most of it," she says. Other than cinema, she is also dabbling in art these days. "There are bathroom singers but I am a bathroom painter. In other words, my art will stay inside the four walls of my house."

But that doesn't mean she is not proud of her works. "Art is a beautiful world to get into. Once you are there, it is very difficult to get out of it. Like once you start painting, you don't want to leave your brush and colours." she says.
