Currently busy shooting in parts of Patiala, Punjab for Yash Raj’s next big venture Mere Brother ki Dulhan, Imran Khan is not easy to get in touch with. But in the few minutes that we chat, despite the poor connection, he does comment on the upcoming premiere of Kunal Kohli and Danish Aslam’s Break ke Baad in Dubai.

“I play a very endearing character in the film and for whatever reason, I feel very strongly about it, so I hope that people there like it. I’m very excited about returning to the city,” notes Khan over the phone, as he takes a breather between shots with co-stars Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar.

“But whether Break ke Baad does well or not, whether it becomes a super hit or a miserable flop, it’s a film that’s important to me and I’m very proud of it.”

The actor, who is set to wed his long-term girlfriend and now fiancé Avantika Malik in a low-key ceremony, also states that while a court marriage is definitely on the cards, the date has not been confirmed just yet.

“We are getting married in January, next year, but we haven’t decided on the exact date. We’ve picked something for around then because it’s a little further down the line from the release of Break ke Baad and I like to take things one at a time.”

The screening of the coming-of-age drama, which will be open to the public, will take place on Wednesday, November 24. Watch out for details on where you can get your tickets.
