‘I was under heavy debt’

After the success of 'Partner', you have signed many films in a row…

To repay my debts I did as many films as I was offered. Now, after having paid all my debts, I am so very relieved. I am planning to go on a long holiday with my family…perhaps to Europe; and my tour will begin in April. I really need that as I want to spend some quality time with my kids and wife.

Does that mean fewer films from now on ala Aamir Khan?

Oh, that will be very less for me! I will do a minimum of two films in a year. As I told you, after 'Partner' I signed films left, right and centre because I had to clear a big chunk of the loan that I had taken. However, now I can work in a relaxed manner as majority of my liabilities are cleared.

So can you update us about your future projects?

Chal Chala Chal', 'Do Knot Disturb' and Do Lucky' are my immediate releases.

Are you going to stick to the David Dhawan camp like before?

Though David is getting ready with a few scripts, obviously I will do films with other directors too. One of David's films will see me and the other will star John Abraham. The film is scheduled to go on floors by mid next year.
