SHAIKH HAMDAN bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, honoured 1,071 UAE nationals who graduated from the Emirates National Development Programme (ENDP) on February 19.
The graduates completed the programme's training courses and were employed in a number of private sector establishments. Most were accommodated in the banking sector, other sectors included health, tourism and retail.
Shaikh Hamdan also hailed the academic co-operation between ENDP and the different educational institutions that have provided this training.
The major companies that recruited the graduates included ACCOR group, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Barclays Bank, Dubai Duty Free, UAE Exchange, HSBC and many others.
Ahmad Humaid Al Tayer, the Chairman of the ENDP Board of Trustees said that ENDP had received a huge number of graduates this year and was grateful that all had got placements.
He congratulated Shaikh Hamdan on his new appointment as the Crown Prince of Dubai and all the efforts he has exerted to ensure that locals get employed in the private sector.
