projection of screens of water, the show will be held throughout the 32-day annual shopping extravaganza.

With Aqua Fantasia, part of a host of spectacular entertainment shows and exciting events this year, DSF 2006 promises that this year's events would satisfy diverse tastes. The enchanting water show that has been an element of the success story of DSF since its inception has captured the imagination of millions over the past years. This year round too, the show will be held at the Amphitheatre of Creek Park and can be viewed free of charge.

Once again, in bringing something different to the residents and visitors of Dubai, the organisers of the show have come up with several new features. This year the shows are bound to be distinctive, innovative and creative, as the audience will experience an audio-visual journey through the multiple variations of music visuals, produced with state-of-the-art technology.

The show will be held twice daily during the 32-day festival from January 4 to February 4. The first session will begin at 6.30pm and end at 7.05pm, while the second show will be on from 8pm to 8.30pm.

The Dubai Municipality recorded more than 700,000 visitors to the park last year and expects more during DSF 2006. A variety of entertainment and recreational facilities will be provided for visitors during this month to make their visit a memorable one, park officials say.

Besides the brilliant water show, the Dubai Creek Park, will also host the brand new DSF theme Islands of the World, showcasing the Samoa, Maldives, Seychelles, Zanzibar and Solomon Islands' cultural practices, traditional food (cooked on the spot), art and craft, music and dance from 4pm to 10pm daily.

It would rain daily at the Creek Park during DSF this year with the artificial rain event at 4.30pm. The Dubai traditional rowing race will also be held at the park on January 20 at 3pm and the Dubai traditional dhow sailing race on February 3, at 10am. The productive family exhibition will also be held at the same venue throughout the month from 5pm to 8pm daily.

The Creek Park will also designate a day for people with special needs with 'A day with me’ - dedicated to young people with special needs event on January 24 from 6pm to 9pm.
