Dubai eGovernment is holding a speakers workshop on 21st April as part of its commitment to promote the welfare of emirati women.
"Dubai eGovernment is always eager to seize every opportunity to fulfil its duty of service to the public and this time we are spearheading another worthwhile initiative that will encourage emirati women to start their own businesses. We believe that the workshop will not only generate awareness of business opportunities for women and fresh business initiatives, but it will also be an important tool in cultivating the entrepreneurial potential of our society's women sector," said Rehab Lootah, eServices Acting Director, Dubai eGovernment.
The workshop will host discussions on ways to enhance efficiency and productivity in dealing with government and private institutions, particularly through a wide range of electronic services or eServices offered by Dubai eGovernment. The workshop will also feature an interactive segment where successful businesswomen from small and medium-size business firms will offer valuable advice and share their experience in managing their own start-ups.
Commenting on the event, Abdul Munem Al Serkal, Chairman, Entrepreneus Forum, said, "The workshop is an excellent venue to harness the entrepreneurial skills of the UAE women. Integrating the workshop with the Your Majesty 2007 exhibition is a very innovative way of linking culture, passion and business, which is a very good instrument for tapping the potential of other sectors, such as women with artistic inclination who are otherwise uninterested with conventional forms of business. Through this workshop, we aim to help budding entrepreneurs in the step-by-step process of building a successful business enterprise."
Key officials from Dubai eGovernment and Entrepreneurs Forum will lead the high-profile speakers at the workshop. Other expected resource persons are prominent officials from the Ministry of Labour, Dubai Economic Department, Tejari.com, Al Tomooh Program, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Dubai Islamic Bank.
Organizers of Your Majesty 2007, which is expected to attract visitors from different countries, plan to bring the exhibition in the future throughout Europe, the United States of America and the Arab Peninsula.
