gG arrived in Manila on September 1, and will be staying until mid-October. She brought her daughter Sakura along on the trip, and as expected, the blonde and blue-eyed infant, who inherited the best features of her father and mother, has been the center of attention of her Filipino relatives since they arrived. Everybody is just gushing over how adorable she is.

G is used to people gushing over Sakura, because back in California, where the family is based, even her own husband's family can't stop admiring their daughter, who is the first grandchild on her husband Tim's side.

“There's always someone wanting to carry her,” says G, who takes care of Sakura herself (meaning, without the help of a nursemaid) back home in California. “They really shower her with a lot of attention, but no, she's absolutely not spoiled. Besides, I'm with her every single day, so I make sure that she isn't spoiled.”

G and her husband Tim are hands-on parents. “We don't have a yaya, so we really take turns,” she says. “My husband, especially, was meant to be a dad. He's so good with her. He even puts her to bed every night.”

But now that she's a fulfilled wife and mother doesn't mean that G is abandoning her showbiz career. She explains that while she may have taken some time off, she didn't give it up.

There's no need to give anything up. Even her husband Tim says so. He constantly encourages G to go out and pursue whatever opportunities come her way. “He's 200 percent supportive of my career,” says G, who is managed in Manila by Genesis, which also handles the career of top artists like Gary Valenciano.

Right now, a career in Manila is a slightly difficult proposition, because she is based in California. But she and Tim have already discussed the possibility of moving back to Manila. “We have spoken about it,” confirms G.

But if that comes to pass, it won't be happening in the near future. G says they want to wait about four or five more years before considering a move.
