Kashmiri cuisine is famously exquisite and Zaika hopes to deliver delicious and authentically fashioned food. They have taken steps to ensure they complete their task by flying in chefs from Kashmir especially.

This ‘no holds barred’ attitude has been continued through to the menu with a wonderful variety of items on offer including; Rista, Gushtaba and the Wazan feast which can consist of 36 courses!

And what does the restaurant hope to achieve from the festival? “We want to let the UAE residents experience Kashmiri traditional dishes,” says Al Murooj Rotana’s food and beverage manager Dominique Jossi. “Kashmiri cuisine which mainly consists of over a couple of dozen dishes prepared from lamb is famous the world over. However, there are, of course, vegetarian options,” he adds. He went on to say, “We thank our regular customers for supporting us and we also want to attract new people to enjoy our food. Our range of prices and dishes are excellent, very special.”

The festival, which, was inaugurated last Saturday by Indian Consul General V. Rajamony, has been organised in association with Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation. It will conclude with a phenomenal raffle draw offering a once in a lifetime prize of: one week stay in Kashmir for two persons including accommodation and two return economy class airline tickets. So get along to the Al Murooj Rotana, Dubai for what is shaping up to be a first class festival.
