DJ Volkan Uca excited about first UAE performance

DJ Volkan Uca, famous for his chart topping number one hit Istanbul and chill out lounge and nu-disco beats, will perform at Japanese restaurant and lounge OKKU's LO.V.E Sunday supper club night on Sunday, October 16. OKKU is situated in The H Hotel, Dubai. We had a quick chat with him.

How do you feel about coming to the UAE for the first time?
Firstly thank you to Sinan Siner, Consoul Trainin, Jayworx and the OKKU family for this amazing collaboration. I feel emotional, I'm so excited to come to the UAE and play at this infamous destination, it's a magical place and I know it will be a special night.

What's on your turntable right now?
Lots of new mixes and collaborations.

What's the most overrated record of all time?
As a DJ and a producer myself I know how much time and effort goes into making a song, the process behind it is deep, so I wouldn't call any record overrated. There are some I like more than others, but musicians all need to be appreciated for their talents and hard work.

If you weren't a musician you'd be.
Probably a head chef or a pilot because both are truly exciting roles that require dedication and passion, with which come great rewards.
